In 2000 Steph and Boomer received two in-lamb imported ewes, from their parents Roger and Anne for their Christmas, which they had purchased from Gavin Shanks.
For the first two years, they each bred ewe lambs which were introduced to the flock then another imported ewe was purchased in Carlisle, again from Gavin Shanks.
David Thornley, Dooley Flock let the new ewe run with the ram which he purchased at the sale, Kloves Van Grotenhof resulting in Pasturefields Harriet and Pasturefields Hemoine, which went on to be a successful show ewe. Boomer then purchased Airyolland Haniball who had a huge influence on the breeding within the flock and was unbeaten in his show career.
Haniball was followed by Preston Mains Moody Man bred by Andrew Walton, which despite tragically dying in his first season, left an outstanding crop of lambs. The current stock ram Drumrash Nugget is breeding well and his first crop of lambs look very promising.
